Choco-Nut Dainties

 3/4 c softened margarine	
 3/4 c sugar
 1 egg	
 1 1/2 t vanilla

Chocolate coating:

 Melt 6 oz chocolate chips and 2 T margarine or butter.  
 Add more margarine if too thick.

Beat together in a large bowl until well mixed.

Blend in 2 1/4 c flour and 1/2 t salt

Stir in 6 oz chocolate chips.

Shape dough into logs.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 12-15 minutes at 350.

Let cool.

Dip ends of cookies into chocolate coating and finely chopped nuts.

Place on wax paper until dipped ends are hardened.
